Hot Rod Magazine's Top 40 Car Movies - #36 thru #40
Hot Rod Magazine did a Top 40 Car Movies Feature in their February 2006 issue.
Here was their breakdown:
#36 - Hot Rods To Hell (1967)
Director: John Brahm/James Curits Havens
Stars: '58 Corvette, '56 Chevy, '61 Belvedere
#37 - Tucker: The Man and His Dream (1985) - Here is an actual '48 Tucker Torpedo like the ones that were used in the movie. Interesting story behind The Tucker. From the 'Classics - Ultimate Automobiles' Calendar: "The Tucker Torpedo was the creation of Preston Tucker, who made his fortune from a gun-turret mounting for WWII bombers. But even his vast wealth could not save the Tucker, a car 20 years ahead of its time, but doomed for lack of funding and a design that was too advanced. Hollywood has perpetuated the notion that the Tucker was killed by Detroit's Big Three, but in reality Tucker did not deliver what was promised, a violation of U.S. Securities laws, which led to liquidation. Tucker secured 300,000 orders, but the legal issues, along with engine and transmission problems, halted production at 37 cars, with another 14 assembled with spare parts by volunteer workers."
Director: Francis Ford Coppola
Stars: '48 Tucker Torpedos
#38 - Goldfinger (1964) - Loved that Aston Martin! Had a little diecast of it when I was a kid.
Director: Guy Hamilton
Star: Aston Martin DB5
#39 - The Italian Job (1969)
Director: Peter Collinson
Stars: Mini Coopers, Lamborghini Miura
#40 - The Fast and The Furious (2001)
Director: Rob Cohen
Stars: '70 Charger, '01 Ford Lightning and a bunch of import cars with phat graphics.

What This Blog Is All About
So I started a blog dedicated to all things that go fast! All things that go zoom! All things that go vroom! LOL. Another passion of mine I did not mention in my profile.
This is something that I have thought about doing for the last several weeks and finally took the time to sit down to launch it.
This blog will feature cars, motorcycles, choppers, all things that go fast!
I will even go into movies that featured car chases.
I have a passion for muscle cars, movie cars, hot rods, classic cars, prototype cars, futuristic vechicles, you name it.
The Best Is Yet To Come! Stay Tuned!
